Wiveliscombe Evangelical Congregational Church

Seeking to bring Jesus to the heart of the community
At Wiveliscombe Congregational Church our concern is to bring Jesus into the very heart of the community in order that friends and neighbours might become committed disciples of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to be a church where people feel that they really matter both to God and to others- where you can find God and make friends.
Our Pastor
Alan and Ursula have their roots in Scotland. Ursula was born and brought up in Dundee where she trained to be a nurse before studying Midwifery at the Simpson Memorial Hospital in Edinburgh. Alan grew up in a village near Falkirk in central Scotland, where he worked as a postman and electrician's labourer before going to college. As Alan and Ursula look back over the past thirty years, they are thrilled at the extra-ordinary things the living God can do through ordinary people.
We are not off the planet
Wiveliscombe Congregational Church is a friendly church in West Somerset. We are a group of ordinary people who come from many different backgrounds and walks of life, but who have a common desire to know Jesus Christ and to make him known. Rob Lewis, a local computer consultant says, "In short being a Christian does not colour my life, being a Christian is my life."
Rob Lewis
Rob is our church secretary and as such helps with the pastoral leadership of the church . He writes about living as a child of God.
